FuseBoard is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your personal data should remain personal and under your control. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our browser extension.

No Tracking

We don't track your browsing or collect analytics

Local Storage

All data stays on your device

No Servers

We don't store your data on our servers

Data Collection

What We DON'T Collect

  • Personal information (name, email, address, phone number)
  • Browsing history or website visits
  • Usage analytics or telemetry data
  • IP addresses or location data
  • Device fingerprinting information

What We Access (Locally Only)

  • Chrome Bookmarks: To display and organize your bookmarks (read-only access)
  • Local Storage: To save your tasks, notes, and settings on your device
  • New Tab Override: To replace your new tab page with FuseBoard

Third-Party Services

FuseBoard integrates with external services only when you explicitly choose to use them. These integrations are optional and can be disabled at any time.

Music Services

  • • Spotify: Playlist embedding (no data sent to us)
  • • Apple Music: Playlist embedding (no data sent to us)
  • • Data flows directly between you and the music service

AI Services

  • • OpenAI: Your API key, stored locally and encrypted
  • • Claude: Your API key, stored locally and encrypted
  • • Ollama: Local models, no external communication
  • • Chat data is not stored or transmitted by us

Important Note

When you use AI services, your conversations are sent directly to the respective AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic) according to their privacy policies. We do not intercept, store, or process these conversations.

Data Security

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you maintain complete control over your information:

  • Local Encryption: Sensitive data like API keys are encrypted before storage
  • Chrome Sync: Data syncs across your Chrome instances using Google's secure sync
  • No Remote Access: We cannot access your data remotely
  • Full Control: You can export, delete, or reset all data at any time

Export all your data in standard formats

Data Deletion:

Delete all data with one click in settings

Data Access:

View all stored data in the settings panel

Privacy Control:

Disable any feature or integration at any time

Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons. When we do:

  • We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Significant changes will be communicated through the extension
  • Continued use of FuseBoard constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
